We’ve released a major update to FooSales that brings support for iPhone and Android phones, Tap to Pay on iPhone, custom branding, improved receipt printing, and a number of other improvements and enhancements.
While FooSales will still look and work much the same, under the hood, the platform has been completely rebuilt and will ensure faster development and a more stable foundation for future features and integrations.
The latest iOS and Android updates will be rolled out gradually over the next week, so they may not be available on your device immediately.
Use FooSales on iPhone and Android Handsets
You can now install and use FooSales on iPhone and Android handsets. The interface has been optimized for smaller screens, making it easy to process sales directly from your phone. This is ideal for markets, expos, pop-up stores, events, mobile businesses, or anywhere you need a compact POS that you can carry in your pocket.
The FooSales web app is responsive and has also been optimized for use on smaller screens.
Accept Contactless Payments
FooSales now supports Tap to Pay on iPhone und Tap to Pay on Android über Stripe und Square on supported devices. This lets you accept contactless cards and mobile wallet payments (Apple Pay and ) directly on your phone without needing a separate card reader or additional hardware.
You can now run a complete mobile checkout experience for your store using just FooSales POS and your phone!
Customized Branding
You can now customize the appearance of the FooSales POS apps, including the color scheme, name and logo.
Simply set your preferred look and feel under the Appearance tab in the FooSales WordPress plugin settings. When the app connects to your store, your custom branding will automatically be loaded and applied.
This makes it possible to give FooSales a professional look that matches your business branding.
Print Receipts to Multiple Printers
FooSales now supports printing receipts to multiple printers simultaneously. This gives you more flexibility when receipts or invoices need to be printed in different areas of your store, restaurant, or venue.
Improved Stripe Reader Connectivity
We’ve also improved the way FooSales communicates with certain Stripe card readers such as the Stripe S700/S710 und WisePOS E. Requests are now handled through the internet instead of through the local area network (LAN), which helps provide more reliable connectivity.
More Improvements Across FooSales
The latest release also includes a number of interface improvements, bug fixes, and performance updates across the web, iOS/iPadOS, and Android apps.
The biggest change, however, is the new platform underpining FooSales, which will allow us to develop and release new features faster while providing a more consistent and reliable experience across devices.
We’re excited about what this makes possible and already have many more improvements and integrations planned.
