Over the past year, we have received many requests from users to integrate FooSales with hardware such as cash drawers, receipt printers and barcode scanners. So towards the end of 2018, we partnered with Star Micronics and began working on an integration between FooSales and Star’s popular mPOP™ product line. We are pleased to announce that the FooSales iPad and FooSales Android apps are now fully compatible with the Star mPOP combined Bluetooth POS receipt printer and cash drawer device including the optional Handheld USB 1D Barcode Scanner which can be purchased as part of a bundle with the device or bought separately.
When the FooSales app is connected to an mPOP device and the payment method is cash, a button appears at checkout which automatically opens the cash drawer and automatically prints the receipt once an order is completed (optional). You can also upload a logo in the FooSales WordPress plugin settings which will appear at the top of the printed receipt.
The portability and simplicity of the Star mPOP has won it many fans and awards around the world, and together with FooSales, it makes a great integrated point of sale solution for small-to-medium size businesses who want to take their WooCommerce stores from clicks to bricks.
