Hot on the heels of our payments integration with Square card readers and Square Terminal earlier this year (which has proven to be extremely popular with FooSales customers) we are thrilled to announce that we have now officially completed our integration with Stripe! This functionality is offered as an optional add-on which lets you capture in-person card payments directly within the FooSales web and tablet apps using supported Stripe card readers or you can enter a customer’s card details manually which is perfect for taking orders over the phone for your WooCommerce powered store.
The Stripe integration currently works with the Verifone P400 reader which accepts all payment types including EMV chip, NFC/contactless and magstripe as well as the BBPOS WisePOS™ E which accepts EMV chip, NFC/contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay and magstripe.
Stripe Reader
Integration between FooSales and Stripe is seamless and only requires a Stripe account and an active internet connection. The FooSales apps connect securely to your Stripe reader which does all the heavy-lifting. When selecting the Stripe Reader payment option at checkout, FooSales will connect to your reader and provide it with the relevant payment information. Once the payment has been successfully processed, Stripe notifies FooSales and automatically completes the transaction. If the payment was unsuccessful, FooSales will alert you.
Manual Payments
You can also process card transactions directly within the FooSales apps by selecting the Stripe Manual Payment option and entering your customer’s card details manually. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and will reflect in your Stripe account. This option does not require a Stripe reader.
Getting started
In order to get started, you will need an active FooSales plan with the Stripe Payments add-on, running the latest version of the FooSales web (version 1.5.0+), iPad or Android tablet apps (version 2.5.0+), a Stripe account and a Verifone P400 reader or BBPOS WisePOS™ E card reader (Note: Readers are not required for Stripe manual payments).
